Left with nothing but emotion!

This week, the contestants were asked to carry their partners on a wheel barrow above a hill. The rules were pretty simple. They were not allowed to run. And they can switch places if they feel tired. All 3 couples raced but Monika and Vikas won the task. Vikas just had one strategy and that was just to stay ahead and take short breaks to just catch his breath as Arjun was closing by.

Now Vikas and Monika had the chance to challenge the king and queen for their turn on the throne.

Pooja and Arjun were having a huge argument and Pooja was not happy about Arjun talking with other girls and spending more time with them.

For the Challenger task, the girls were put in a freezer room with stinking fishes for a while and their partners will have to keep them warm just by themselves without using a shawl or anything else. Once Monika and Niharika spent some time in there, Vikas and Ashish ran in to keep their respective girls warm. They rubbed their girls on hands and legs to keep them warm and when the time was up, they had to leave the room.

The body temperature of the girls was tested and Niharika had a temperature of 95.8 and Monika had 95.4. The girl with warmer body wins the challenge and hence Niharika and Ashish won the challenge and retained their throne. Vikas was very unhappy with the results and felt that he had no chance of victory with Monika as his partner.

Later that day, Mahip and Arjun were on the dumping ground. When Niharika had to choose between Arjun and Mahip, she chose Mahip to stay and Arjun was dumped from the show after a very emotional elimination session.

Friends become enemies

What battle is in store for the Splitsvillans this week?

In the midst of the war of love, the couples needed to impress the King and Queen with their cooKing skills! Then again, before the challenge began the couples were given the chance to change partners (excluding the King and Queen). Priya and Raj, Monica and Vikas, Arjun and Pooja, Niharika and Aashish finally ended up together. The couples were not allowed to cook something of their own choice – the menu of the day was Thai crab curry and Thai Fried noodles.

Sounds simple? Where’s the catch, you ask? The catch was that they should use not 4, but just 3 hands and finish cooKing in 1 hour. Each dish was presented to the King and Queen without them knowing who prepared what.

All the couples scored between 7 and 11, the King and Queen did not die of food poisoning and the winners were Vikas and Monika. They got a chance to challenge the King and Queen.

The next challenge was a classic – saving the damsel in distress!

In this challenge, the girls were in a pit filled with creepy-crawly snakes, while the boys had to rescue them by pulling them out with a rope. The couples managing to get out of the snake pit the fastest wins the task and gets the power to dump. This was a true struggle – Mahip and Pavithra were the 1st to start. After almost giving up, Mahip successfully pulled her out.

Later, the ever enthusiastic Vikas pulled on the rope so fast that Monica couldn’t hold on to the rope and she fell down numerous times. Vikas could not save his damsel in distress and Monica ended up bruised and battered! Vikas lost his patience and the challenge.

Mahip and Riya got to relax in a huge pool and discuss who should be chucked out of the villa in the dumping ground.

Later, in the dumping ground the Queen chose to chuck Raj out because Raj has been lying and scheming just to stay in the game. The cad!

The King chose Riya to leave the show, and despite her loud rants that she had saved Mahip a lot of times and that he had betrayed their friendship, she had no choice but to leave.

Finally when the King asked if he can change his decision, Nikhil moved in and stated that the King can change his mind – he is the King after all!
Then comes a twist in the tale; Nikhil says that ONLY ONE of them will be leaving the Villa and the six contestants could choose who gets saved. The decision was unanimous, and Riya stayed. Riya was close friends with Mahip and Niharika, but when the stakes are high, we all know that the best of friends can turn into enemies!

Episode 4 – The new king and queen arise

With only 7 couples standing the choice was given for the couples to change partners.

Two of the women were not happy with their current partners – Monica and Niharika exchanged their men. Now Niharika and Mahip (real life couples) are back to being together.

This 1st challenge for the couples was to perform and win at the Thai dance competition in order to become the challengers and challenge the current King and Queen. The couples were given 2 hours of dance training from Thai Instructors. I wonder which couple has a pair of left feet…
Many of the couples during the rehearsal session improvised on the steps and tried to create new ones to outperform the other couple. During the practice session, a tiff was in the air between Pavitra and Sufzal because they couldn’t remember the steps and that was leading to some harsh statements. They looked as if they were not well prepared for the competition at all.

The couples chose their costumes and got ready with their makeup. The competition began and the couples came out on stage one by one and performed their dances. Mahip and Niharika stole the show as they scored the highest and thereby earned their right to battle the King and Queen.

Pavitra was showing the signs of jealousy and insecurity and Vikas gets into a fit!

A new day dawns and the couples all head down to beach where MTV VJ Nihkil is waiting for them with their task for the day.

The task was for the men to carry the girls on their shoulders blindfolded perform the task. All the girls and boys need to either ally themselves either with the King and Queen or the challengers and whichever team wins the task of the day remain, and so are its allied members.

The 2 couples started the task -

1. Eat -  Pineapple chopsuey
2. Drink – Love you long time ( find the shack that serves the drink )
3. Shop – Find a jokers hat

They had to Eat, Drink and Shop all in 100 Baht.

The tasks was hard especially since they had a language barrier with the Thai locals, plus the men’s shoulder were aching and taking directions from their women wasn’t a lot of fun either

To everyone’s surprise Mahip and Niharika won the title of King and Queen especially since they were very close to giving up the task.

Kriti was having a talk with everyone on the wining team requesting them to vote for her!

All the contestants who had allied with Arjun and Pooja went straight to the dumping ground. That put Vikas, Riya, Kirti, Ashish, Sufzal and Nirmal on the other’s mercy.

In the elimination ground Kritiwas greatly disappointed when raj inspite of promising her, voted for Riya. This created a huge argument and a heated exchange of words with Raj and Raman about them not being her true friends, and shamelessly back stabbing her in the end.

The arguments started getting worse and it was beginning to look like Vikas & Kriti started to have a grudge against the entire team.

Kriti and Sufzal got eliminated, and Vikas vowed to send all those guys out of the show who plotted to get Kriti dumped out of the house.

Episode 3 – Tears for fears

This week, Ria and Vikas split, while Pavitra and Sufzal stuck together in the split-or-stick session. What came next was a surprise for everyone – for the first time this season, Nikhil announces that the couples are going on dates to separate locations in Phuket, and there is no challenge involved! Check out the look on their faces when they heard this news.

Little did they know…!

Later on, when Nikhil was alone with the girls, the truth was revealed. (Did the contestants actually think they were being let off the hook that easily?) Each girl was given a dull, dreary topic which she was to ramble on about, while they were on their date. They were forbidden from telling the guys anything about this, meaning it was going to be a real test of the girl’s charms. Of course, everything depended on whether the guy is actually listening to her in the first place!

The next challenge “Buddy Breathing” was a humdinger after the last one, where the winning couple gets to challenge Arjun and Pooja to their throne. Each couple was given one oxygen tank to share. They were to scuba dive, and find a “treasure” on the sea bed. Many gasps and gulps later, Arjun & Pooja found the Oyster and retained their title.

Back at the dumping ground, emotions ran higher than ever with all the contestants against Ashish, aka “The Master Mind”.

Kiran, Monika, Parag and Mahip found themselves on the dumping ground after Raman was voted in by the team and saved once again.

If Parag thought he was going to get lucky that night, he was in for a minor disappointment. Riya, his own girlfriend dumped him!

The King and Queen had a royally tough decision to make, ‘cause they really didn’t want to dump anyone. Apparently they never heard Spidey’s granny saying “with great power comes great responsibility”. When it came down to it, Arjun decided to dump Kiran – simply because he had to dump someone!

“I really want to be in the show, that’s all it’s just hard luck…please think twice… please…” were the last words of Kiran.

Pooja, on the other hand just couldn’t decide between Parag and Mahip. After a tearful debate, she had to let go of Parag, ending this week’s episode with everyone in tears.

Episode 2 – The battle ground gets more challenging!

The love zone has now been poisoned by war. The contestants have started taking the term “World War 3 for Love” more seriously than ever.

Kiran had a dispute with Riya and Monica, since she thinks Riya had manipulated Monica and had pulled her over to the couple’s side. During the Split or Stick session, there was an argument between Kirti and Ashish. Kirti didn’t want to stick with Ashish, and chose Raman instead. However, Raman was already chosen by Nirmal! After all the drama, Kirti had no choice but stick with Hemant.

And one of the highlights of this episode was that the guys were asked to strip their shirts in front of the ladies. Their respective girls auctioned their guys.

Starting this week, the contestants will face more challenger tasks. Everyone competes against each other to choose a challenger, who will challenge the position of the King and Queen to replace them. This week the task was called “Head & Crab”. The boys were buried in the ground up to their heads, and the girls had to pick out crabs moving around the boys and put them in a basket, while helping their partners dig themselves out of the sand.

Pooja and Arjun won this challenge, and are still the King and Queen!

This season, the king and the queen are not permanent. They will be consistently put to test and this increases the possibility of anyone reaching the dumping ground at anytime.

Raman was in the dumping ground with Ruchi, but when given a choice Hemant switched places with Raman as his girl Priyanka got eliminated last week and he couldn’t continue to stay in the show without her. This choice was given by Splitsvilla as its all about love whether it’s in or outside the show! Now that’s Kismat shining brightly for Ramanjot! Will he keep that up?
